Privacy Policy
What this website collects, why it is held, who sees it, and how to have it removed.
This policy describes what sanfansil.com does with the information you give it: the enquiry forms, the files you attach, and the small amount of browser storage the pages use.
Who is responsible
Nanjing Sanfan Chemical Co., Ltd, No. 818 Geguan Road, Jiangbei New District, 211500 Nanjing, Jiangsu, China is the controller of the data described here. Write to info@sanfanchem.com or telephone +86 25 58894227.
What is collected
When you send an enquiry
- The fields you fill in: the kind of request, your name, your company, your email address, your country or region, the grade you are interested in, the substrate, the target properties and your notes.
- The files you attach — a drawing, a test report, a photograph of the part. PDF, JPG, PNG or XLSX, up to 20 MB per file.
- Two technical facts that travel with the submission: the page you sent it from, and the campaign in the address bar if you arrived through one. They exist so that a question about a specific grade can be answered in context.
When you only read
The server that serves this site keeps a log of requests: the address it was asked for, the time, and the address the request came from. The log is used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not joined to an enquiry.
What is not collected
- No visitor account is created and no password is stored. There is no shopping cart and no payment page; nothing on this site takes card details.
- No advertising or analytics service is installed. No page loads a script, a font or a video from a third-party service that would report your visit.
- Your data is not sold, rented or added to a marketing list.
Why it is held
- To answer what you asked — a grade recommendation, a sample, a quotation, a technical question. This is the preparation and performance of a contract with you.
- To keep a record of the quotation, the sample and the batch behind it, because a buyer comes back with a question about a delivery years later. This is our legitimate interest in running the business.
- To meet obligations that apply to a chemical supplier: product safety, transport of dangerous goods, export control and tax. This is a legal obligation.
Who sees it
The sales and technical staff who answer enquiries, and nobody else inside the company. Outside it:
- the hosting company that runs this website and sends its notification mail, acting on our instructions;
- a courier or freight forwarder, when a sample or a shipment has to travel — they receive the delivery details and nothing else;
- an authority, when the law requires an answer.
Where it goes
We are in Nanjing, China. An enquiry sent from Europe, the Americas or anywhere else is stored on our systems in China and answered from there. If the law that applies to you requires a specific mechanism for that transfer, ask us in writing and we will tell you which one applies to your data.
How long it is kept
An enquiry is kept while it is being worked on, and for as long as the resulting business, its documents and its product-safety records require. When that ends it is deleted. You can ask for it to be deleted earlier and we will do it, unless a record has to be kept for a legal reason — a batch that shipped, for example.
Files you attach
Attachments are stored privately with the enquiry. They are not published on this site, not placed in the public media library, and not used for anything other than answering you.
Your rights
You can ask what is held about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, have its use restricted, or object to it being used. You can also ask for it in a machine-readable file. Write to the address above with “Data request” in the subject; we answer within one month, as data-protection law requires. If you believe your data is handled wrongly you can complain to the data-protection authority where you live — we would rather you told us first.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no advertising and no analytics cookies. The handful of values it does use are listed in the Cookie Policy.
Children
This is a site for industrial buyers. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly keep data about anyone under 16.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries and their attachments are reachable only by the staff who answer them. If a breach ever affected your data, we would tell you and the competent authority as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date below changes too. The current version is the one that applies.
